This week we habe been thinking about 'Journeys' in literacy.
We have been reading the story 'The Journey by Neil Griffiths' and ' The Train Ride by June Crebbin' - We thought about the two different journeys and discussed the similarities and differences.
In Maths this week we have been making amounts using pennies.
In French we learned the vocabulary for 3 flavours of ice cream - vanille, fraise, chocolat and read a beach themed story.
In science, We looked at how different materials behave with light. We tested whether materials made shadows or not and we used light-sensitive beads to see how sunglasses and sunhats protect us from the sun. Super scientists, Reception!
We all took part in the Dance from the Heart on the playground on Tuesday Morning, this was a great event and the children have enjoyed learning the routine.
