Maths - sorting 3D shapes

Counting - Count in tens up to 100.

Reading - Please try to read each night, it makes a big difference!

Please remember to bring book bags in each day.

English

We read the story 'How to Catch a Star'.

We ordered the story, used the connective 'but' in our writing and then re-wrote the story in our own words.

Phonics

Some of us have been learning the air, ear and oi/oy sounds.

Some of us have been learning the alternative pronunications. We have learnt i in find and o in both.

Maths

We have been sorting objects into groups and explaining why we have put them there.

Then we introduced fractions to the class. We talked about the words 'part' and 'whole' and how each part has to be equal.

R.E.

We read the Visitation story where Mary and her cousin Elizabeth both found out that they were expecting babies. Elizabeth's baby jumped for joy when he heard Mary! We made speech bubbles showing what Elizabeth said to Mary and then focused on the Hail Mary prayer.

History

We had so much fun playing with our present-day toys! We sorted them into groups and shared them nicely with our friends.

See our pictures here.

Forest School

We made some soup and sat around the fire to drink it.

Please ensure that your child has a warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves in school as the weather gets colder. Girls could wear tights too.

My Happy Mind

We focused on our Happy Breathing and described how it made us feel.
