Sumdog challenges

Maths - Shapes

Phonics - Tricky words

Counting - Keep counting in ones from 0 to 20 (and above if you can!) Have a go at the first to 20 game.

Reading - Please try to read each night, it makes a big difference!

Please remember to bring book bags in each day.

English

We read the story 'Eat Your Peas' which is about a girl called Daisy who refuses to eat her peas. We described peas using adjectives, wrote reasoning sentences using 'because' and wrote a persuasive letter from Mum to Daisy, pleading with her to eat her peas!

Phonics

Some of us have been comparing the different au spellings: au in author and aw in yawn.

Some of us have been comparing the different oa spellings: oa in toast, ow in snow, oe in toe and o_e in stone.

Maths

We identified, compared and sorted 2D and 3D shapes.

R.E.

We started to read the Easter story, up until Jesus' crucifixion. We went outside to collect sticks and we made our own cross.

See our pictures here.

Science

We identified the different weather patterns in each season. We also started a weather diary to observe the weather.

Computing

We learnt how to record a voice over our Seesaw pictures so that we could provide more information. We explained why we made our crosses in R.E.

DT

We identified the differences between fruit and vegetables. Next week, we will be making our own smoothies.
