English
We read the story 'Astro Girl' and learnt about a little girl called Astrid who wanted to be an astronaut when she grew up, just like her mummy. We wrote some super sentences about what we would like to be when we are older.
We also learnt about Neil Armstrong and made a non-chronological report about his life.
Phonics
Some of us have been learning the air, ure and ay sounds.
Some of us have been learning the alternative pronunications. We have learnt o in other, c in cell and g in ginger.
Maths
We continued to learn about fractions, focusing on halves. We found halves of objects and shapes.
R.E.
We have had our RSHE week this week. We have learnt about how our families love us and how we show love to one another. Then we wrote sentences to God, thanking Him for loving us too.
Computing
We finished our digital painting unit and make our own Georges Seurat artwork using dots.
D.T.
We created our own practise lever before planning our moving Christmas card.
Forest School
We watched Mr Corbett light a fire. We talked about how to keep safe. Some of us had a go at lighting a fire with the flint and steel.
My Happy Mind
We talked about how our brain changes when we tackle tricky tasks. We drew a time when we felt stressed or worried and talked about how happy breathing can help us overcome it.
