English

We made our own firework poems using the sounds that fireworks make. We even learnt about alliteration and wrote words such as BOOM, BANG and BASH!

Levi Tafari came into school to teach us how to make fun poems. We learnt how to use rhyming words to make our poems more exciting.

Phonics

Some of us have been learning the short oo and long oo sounds.

Some of us have been learning the split digraph sounds a_e, e_e and i_e.

Maths

We identified different 2D and 3D shapes. We talked about how the shapes were different and the same.

R.E.

We learnt about The Annunciation where Angel Gabriel told Mary that she was going to have a baby - baby Jesus. We acted out the story and recorded it on Seesaw.

P.E.

We started out new dance unit. This half term, we are going to be dancing like a robot. We copied different robot dances and danced to our robot music.

Art

We used our hands and fingers to paint a winter tree.

Forest School

We had a go at using vegetable peelers to whittle wood. We talked about how to use the peelers safely. We used balsa wood as it's really soft. By whittling the wood we can change it's shape. We had a hot juice to warm us up, we boiled water in the Kelly Kettle.

My Happy Mind

We explored what our brain looks like and drew a picture of one.
