Reading - Please try to read for 10 minutes every night.

This week in Year 2
English
This week, we started our new book ‘The lumberjack’s beard’. We wrote a feelings bubble for how little blue bird is feeling and also acted it out with a partner.
Maths
This week, we started the place value topic. We placed numbers on number lines and measuring cylinders.
PSHE
In PSHE we discussed different feelings we could have. we then designed our own feeling monsters.
RE
This week, we wrote our Lenten Promise. We thought about how we could be a better person in the short time of Lent.
Forest School
We learnt how to use hammers safely. We used them to knock nails in to wood.
We also went in the very muddy nature area. The child-initiated learning was briliant-floating and sinking, mixing up mud and water, making a stream, cooking and building dams.
We also explored our new shelters.
