English
We continued our learning through the story of Rosie Revere Engineer. We discussed cause and effect and answered questions about the story.
We also read about another inventor, Marvelous Mattie. The children wrote at length about her life and inventions.
SPaG
We learnt about silent letters in knight and sword. We also discussed another homophone, by, bye and buy.

We continued our learning about measuring. We used rulers, metre sticks and a trundle wheel to measure lengths. We discussed when it's appropriate to use the different equipment.
We have been practicing our 2,5 and 10 times tables.
SUMDOG NEWS-Year 2 came 245th out of 4000 schools in the Spring competition.
