We continued our learning through the story of Manfred the Baddie. We closely examined the picture of his hideout and discussed what features an effective hideout needs. We designed and labelled our own hideout.
Manfred has henchmen who work for him. We wrote in role as Manfred as he decided he needed to recruit some more henchmen and hench ladies!
We wrote great descriptions of all the attributes and skills these people would need.

We learnt about contractions, I'm, there's, here's, doesn't.

We had a lovely collective worship about the start of Lent.
We made our own Lenten promises which will be displayed in the hall.

We discussed all the experiences we are grateful for. We recognised how it is so important to take time to appreciate all the experiences we have.

We had a great session in our nature area. We spotted all the flowers growing and how they have changed even from last week.
We had the den building equipment out and demnstrated some excellent teamwork.
World Book Day
Everyone looked brilliant in their costumes for World Book Day.
We read a lot of books and even had a parent come and read the end of day story (Zog) to us.
We also went outside and did a book scavenger hunt and designed our own book tokens.
Y2 really enjoyed the day!
We welcomed our visitors from Japan.
We are so lucky to have a student in Year 2. She is enjoying spending time with us and seeing how we learn.
