Year 2 Home Practice - 11th June 2021
Date: 11th Jun 2021 @ 12:58pm
We have had a lovely return to school. We have enjoyed the glorious weather, making sure to utilise play time on the field. Year 2 have had a great time working with Year 6 at lunch time. Year 6 have been coaching the children, showing them lots of enjoyable games. Thanks Year 6! This week in English we started a new story, Esio Trot. The children produced some great pieces of work and we can’t wait to find out what happens next week. In Maths, we have consolidated previous learning and we have focused on multiplication. We have practised using arrays and we understand that multiplication is the same as repeated addition. We are beginning our new topic in PE – Athletics. We practised some throwing skills and even managed to have a go at a few Sports Day events. We are all looking forward to an exciting final summer term!
We have set some new Sum Dog challenges. Please login in and have a go. You will receive dojos for going on and completing the work set.
Reading
In Year 2 we aim to read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night and discuss the book with an older sibling or adult to help deepen your knowledge.
Reading books are changed every Monday so please remember to bring in your book bag.
