Year 2 Home Practice - 18th June 2021
Date: 18th Jun 2021 @ 1:07pm
We have had another fantastic week of sunshine and fun. We managed to visit our pond this week to look at the wonderful wildlife around our school. Mr Hill came in and did a pottery workshop with Year 2 and the whole school. We made some brilliant ocean and beach habitats. Please take a look at the pictures in the gallery section on the Year 2 page. We have continued working with Year 6, who are helping us to learn lots of new skills. We are having great fun! This week in English we continued our story, Esio Trot. We have looked at Mr Hoppy’s peculiar plan and we have improved our dictionary skills, we even manged to create a backwards animal chant. In Maths, we have consolidated previous learning and we have focused on division. We have practised using sharing and grouping strategies to help us answer a range of word problems. We are looking forward to doing lots of mapping work over the next few weeks as we find out about the countries in the Euros 2020. COME ON ENGLAND!
