Year 2 Home Practice - 25th June 2021
Date: 25th Jun 2021 @ 3:41pm
PLEASE COULD ALL CHILDREN REMEMBER TO BRING PE KITS FOR MONDAY. WE WILL BE TAKING PART IN SPORTS DAY IN THE AFTERNOON.
Many thanks!
We have had a super week of learning in Year 2. We had a wonderful meditation session from Miss Rebecca where we relaxed our bodies and minds. Mrs Winter helped us put on a fabulous performance for World Music Day and we had a fantastic whole school celebration. Our video is in the class gallery, please take a look on our Year 2 page. We have had a great week in PE. We have practised our events for Sports Day on Monday and we took part in a cross country race around school. We all pushed ourselves and it was a brilliant effort from everyone. In Maths, we have learnt all about fractions. We now know how to find a half and quarter of a number. We also managed to study an artist called Georgia O'Keeffe. We loved the way she zoomed in on flowers and we managed to replicate her style using watercolour paint. What an amazing week from Year 2.
Reading
In Year 2 we aim to read for a minimum of 15 minutes every night and discuss the book with an older sibling or adult to help deepen your knowledge.
Reading books are changed every Monday so please remember to bring in your book bag.
