Year 3 Blog, Friday 13th May

Date: 11th May 2022 @ 10:32am

Happy Friday everybody.

We have had another amazing week in Year 3.

6-8 years: Colours of the Rainbow - National Portrait Gallery

On Monday we were lucky enough to watch and support Reception on their first ever sports day. We were very proud of them all. We also did some practice for our own sports day in PE on Tuesday.

In English we have continued reading Harry Potter. Harry now knows he is a wizard and has bought his supplies from Diagon Alley ready for his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. How exciting! For our writing, we have written a letter from Harry to Hogwarts including questions, a list of what is needed at Hogwarts using sub-headings, and some descriptive pieces about Diagon Alley.

In French, we practised reading our own Ours Brun story aloud then we recorded some. Some excellent pronunciation - well done, year 3. We listened to the story of La chenille qui fait des trous (hungry Caterpillar).  We will use the food vocabulary to help us understand more about le and la next week.
