Online Safety
We have noticed that some children are using WhatsApp and other messaging services that are not age appropriate. WhatsApp has a 16+ rating and was designed for adults. Primary aged children have not developed the emotional maturity to use these messaging platforms, and we have found having round the clock access to their friendship groups is placing an undue pressure onto their wellbeing.
Here is some guidance from the NSPCC and our WhatsApp guide for your information. Is WhatsApp safe for my child?
This week in Year 3
In English this week we learnt how to start our sentences in different ways. We also wrote an exciting recount of Bertie Andrews' brave rescue on the front lines in WW1.
In Maths we learnt to double 2 and 3 digit numbers and then used doubling to help work out our times tables. Well done Year 3!
In art this week we started to plan our clay model story telling. We looked at characters from Roald Dahl stories and explored different scenes we'd like to recreate.
In computing this week we added content to create media. Have a look in our gallery. Unfortunately the website has stretched our GIFs to fit, but they all look fab!
In Science we further explored magnetism and discovered how different materials react beside a magnet. Have a look in our gallery.
Have a fantastic weekend
