Sumdog challenges
- A spelling challenge based on the words above
- A maths challenge to consolidate our area learning
TTRockstars challenge
- A ‘garage’ session
In English, we planned, drafted and published a piece of writing called ‘My Special Place’. This was a descriptive piece of writing and has been displayed in school.
In Maths, we learnt that area is the amount of space taken up by a shape and that by counting squares we can find out its area. We the used this knowledge to find the area of rectilinear shapes by splitting them into rectangles.
In RE, we learnt about the Qur’an which is the Muslims’ most holy book. Muslims believe that it contains the actual words of Allah spoken to Muhammad by the angel Jibril.
In French, we continued learning words for the weather. We then linked these words to the type of weather we would expect in the 4 different seasons.
In Science, we investigated the relationship between volume and distance. We concluded that as the distance from the sound source increased, the sounds grew fainter.
Have a sunny weekend
