Year 4 Blog - Friday 4th April 2025

Date: 3rd Apr 2025 @ 8:30am

Welcome to the last blog of the Spring term

In English, we consolidated our learning about determiners by writing our own verse to a song.

In Maths, we practised the written method of division – chunking – both with and without remainders.

In RE, we retold the Holy Week story from St Peter’s perspective in a series of freeze frames. You can see some pictures in our gallery.

In Science, we completed our States of Matter topic by exploring the rate of evaporation.

During our French lesson, we completed the ‘school subjects’ topic by creating sentences using J’adore, J’aime, Je n’aime pas and Je deteste.

This week, we also took part in an orienteering session around the school grounds. Take a look at the pictures in our gallery.

As it is the Easter holiday, we have not set any Home Practice / Sumdog challenges. However, please keep reading every day – this really is the key to unlocking your learning.

In addition, practising your tables frequently will also keep you to recall them accurately and fluently.

We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 22nd April in your Summer uniforms.

Make sure you relax and enjoy spending time with your family and friends.
