Year 5 Blog Friday 8th September 2023

Happy Friday and welcome to your Friday Blog.

We have had such an amazing week in Year 5. Everybody has settled in brilliantly and have really shown they are grown up and ready for Year 5. 

In maths we have been looking at 5 and 6-digit numbers and solving problems involving these. Everybody did such a good job. 

We started reading our first year 5 class novel called Goth Girl. We have been looking at other films and stories of the same genre and identifying what they have in common. We then did a character study of the main character Ada Goth and started to think about a character we would include in a gothic novel. 

We LOVED sharing our summer scrap books and talking about what we have been doing over the summer holidays. We used a world map to locate some of the different places people have been to. 

We earned lots of golden token for being such good role models around school and for working hard and listening. We really enjoyed a sunny golden time on Friday afternoon - it was very well deserved!
