Year 4 - Science - Changing States

In this week's Science lesson, we continued looking at changing states. We recapped how each state can change to another state by either heating or cooling. We spent some time observing how an ice cube changes from solid to liquid state. We recorded our observations by drawing what we saw at different points, until it melted. We then spent some time preparing an investigation of how different liquids freeze. We chose a variety of liquids, poured the same amount of each into an ice cube tray and predicted how each one would freeze and melt when we revisit them later this week.
