Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Year 1 Year: 2023 - 2024

The parents of the Year 6 leavers kindly bought some willow animal and plant sculptures. We went on a hunt to find them and looked carefully at how they are made. We used willow which we grow in our school grounds to have a go at weaving. The first stage is to get a circle shape made. We worked so hard at this, great determination, imagination and resilience was shown. We made crowns, bracelets, fish and even a leaf blower!
