Year 6 Blog Friday 14th July 2023
Date: 15th Jul 2023 @ 4:03pm
Welcome to this week’s Year 6 blog. This has been a very busy week for Year 6 with every day full of ‘final’ events.
On Monday, we rehearsed and performed our Oliver production to the whole school.
On Tuesday, we performed three shows of Oliver at 10am, 2pm and 6.30pm. We hope you enjoyed them all as the children have been working extremely hard these past few weeks. You can see a repeat of it here by clicking on the link.
On Wednesday, Year 6 headed out for their retreat day to Liverpool. We stopped at Liverpool Cathedral to admire the amazing artwork and to reflect on the past 7 years of primary life. We then went to Crosby beach to walk together on the sand and have time to enjoy ourselves as a class.
On Thursday, Year 6 delivered their Leavers assembly, with great memories and songs shared with those that came to watch. In the afternoon, Year 6 had their final sports day. Then that evening, we celebrated the Year 6s again at the Leavers Mass, followed by fish and chips and a good dance to end the night.
On Friday, Year 6 led the infamous Super Learning Day where they got to experience new things from shelter building to karaoke to golf and many more. The Year 6 did a brilliant job all week and deserve a weekend of rest.
DO NOT FORGET – Monday and Tuesday are bikeability days so please bring your PE kit, bike and helmet for both days. As it may rain at times, you may wear leggings or tracksuit bottoms. A raincoat would be useful too.
Have a great weekend!
Year 2 Blog Friday 14th July 2023
Date: 14th Jul 2023 @ 4:02pm
Super Learning Day was a fantastic success this year and the children had so much fun learning about new and different things, such as pebble painting, football golf, arts and crafts, scarecrow making, festivals/dance and bowling – to name a few. We had the opportunity to see the Year 6 play, Oliver, which was amazing. The acting and singing was incredible. It was like being at a real theatre! We also had a drumming showcase and sang along to popular songs. In English, the children wrote about the play ‘Oliver’. In Maths, we played games to sharpen up our number skills ready for Year 3. In Music, the children played their ocarinas really well. They are learning London’s Burning. In P.E, we went outside and did football skills. In Art, we completed our leaf paintings and signed them like real artists! In French, we learnt some vocabulary related to the beach and looked at whether the words are masculine or feminine. Then the children made a beach picture and used a bilingual dictionary for the first time to add their own nouns to the picture. They did really well in a short time. Mrs Quillium would like to thank the children for being such brilliant language learners. It’s has been a pleasure for her to introduce them to French and just think how good they will be if they keep it up!
Reading
In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book. This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.
We will be collecting the book bags, reading books and diaries next week. You will be issued with new ones in Year 3.

Welcome to your Friday Blog
We have had a fantastic week at school this week. On Monday we watched Y6 and their amazing performance of Oliver. You can see it too on our YouTube channel. On Friday we also had a blast in our Super Learning Day. We played footgolf, made journey sticks, woven turtles, and much more. Check out our galleries for some pics.
Next week, to finish off our DT topic on food, could you please send your child in with the ingredients to make one sandwich. They have designed their own creations which will be judged in class by the other children. We will supply the equipment needed and will be making these on Wednesday afternoon morning.
In English we read all about Little Witchery and Toby had some tricky decisions to make once again. We also created some non chronological reports on all the different species of penguins as part of our Geography learning. We learned some very interesting facts!
In Maths we have been looking at 2D shapes and learning all about acute and obtuse angles. We revisited some of our shape vocabulary from earlier in the year.
Reception Blog - Friday 14th July 2023

Happy Friday and welcome to your Friday Blog
We have had a super week this week, lots of exciting things going on.
On Monday and Tuesday we played instruments and joing in with singing song from the musical Oliver to support Year 6 with their performance. It was very hot and took a lot of practice but we did a great job!
In maths we have been learning about Roman Numerals.
We learnt what the different letters represent and how they are used. We followed 3 rules when writing roman numerals:
- If a smaller numeral comes after a larger numeral, add the smaller number to the larger number.
- If a smaller numeral comes before a larger numeral, subtract the smaller number from the larger number.
- Do not use the same symbol more than three times in a row.
In English we have been practising identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. We have also been using different sentence types and different punctuation to describe settings from Harry Potter.
Noun - person, place, thing
Adjective - describes or modifies a noun or pronoun
Verb - words that show an action (sing), occurrence (develop), or state of being (exist)
Adverb - modifies or describes a verb, adjective or another adverb
On Friday we enjoyed Super Learning Day. We were split into two groups and moved around the school to take part in different exciting activities with different teachers. Here are some of the things we did:
Karaoke / festival
Natural art using weaving
Worry dolls and bracelet making

Welcome to your Friday blog
In English, we published our non-chronological reports. We are so proud of our finished reports which all look very professional. We then shared these with both Year 3 and Year 5! You can see us sharing our reports here.
In Maths, we learnt how to find out the area of shapes when not all the shapes were whole. In addition, we used pictorial representations such as fraction walls to recognise were more than two fractions are equivalent.
In RE, we learnt more about God’s People. We read the first letter of St John which encourages readers to follow God’s way and offers ideas about how we can become a bit more like God. In addition, we watched a video about the life of St Oswald and researched his life. We then made a collage in our books about the information.
In French, we learnt to play Rock, paper, scissors in French and then we played a hoop hop version outside. Great fun! We also talked about La Fete Nationale or Bastille Day on the 14th July - why and how this is celebrated in France. Then we managed a quick visit to the Tour de France as well.
Mrs Quilliam also wanted to thank us for being such brilliant language learners. She said it has been a pleasure to teach us French and watch us gain confidence as French speakers. We need to keep it up!
In Science, we learnt more about the digestive system. First, we consolidated our learning about the structure and function of each part of the digestive system. Then, we used food, water, orange juice, scissors, a plastic bag and a pair of tights to demonstrate how food is softened, changed, absorbed and finally expelled from the body! This was the best science lesson of the year!! Why not have a look at the pictures!
In Geography, we finished our PowerPoints about climate change and oceans. We are very pleased with our final presentations which are informative and include some hyperlinks and transitions.
In PE, we played a whole class game of cricket which practised our catching and team work skills. We then played a mini football tournament.
This week, we have also watched the Year 6 production of Oliver, been to the drumming showcase and watched Year 6’s sports day! And on Friday, we tried out lots of new and interesting activities at Super Learning Day! What a brilliant week!

Year 1 Blog- Friday 14th July 2023
Date: 12th Jul 2023 @ 8:56pm
Welcome to your Friday blog.
We loved watching Year 6 perform Oliver! - so much talent!
English
This week we learnt to how to make a mini book out of a sheet of A4 paper. We then wrote all kinds of things in our books - we have great imaginations!
Phonics
We have been revisiting all the sounds we have learnt this year.
Maths
We have recapped halves and quarters - what they mean and how to find a half/quarter of shapes and an amount. We have used the maths resources to physically see the process.
P.E.
We endured the rain and practised throwing and catching to each other. We used tactics to pretend to throw one way and then throw another.
We also had a very quick game of benchball to practise our throwing and catching.
R.E.
We learnt about another man who needed to say sorry for his actions - Zacchaeus. We found that that he was also a tax collector, just like Levi. We compared the two stories, focusing on the similarities between them both.
Science
We observed the weather and spoke about how we expect certain weather with each season. For example, we expect to see more sun in summer but this is not always the case!
Geography
We learnt some new information about differing climates in the world. We read a lovely story about a girl called Ella who dreams about being nearer to the ocean as she does not like her hot climate.
We then chose a picture and answered questions regarding it, such as 'would you want to live here?' and 'what animals could live here?'
Computing
We made the most of the brief warm weather and went outside for our computing lesson! We put all of our skills together and attempted the final coding activity. This lesson allowed us to have some free play, creating conversations and stories using the coded instructions. It was tricky but fun!
French
We played some typical French playground games. It was lovely to watch the children engage in these new games - they particularly enjoyed 1,2,3 soleil which is a version of Grandma's footsteps. Mrs Quilliam would like to thank the children for being such brilliant language learners. It has been a pleasure to introduce them to French. Just think how good they will be if they keep it up!
Outdoor Learning and Forest School
We have been making hammocks. We have also been using fixed frames to learn about weaving. We used elastic bands and then weaved in leaves, flowers and grasses.
Super Learning Day
We had a great day on Friday and took part in lots of different activities.
Summer Fair
We hope to see you all at the Summer Fair on Saturday 15th July from 12 Noon.

Year 2 Blog Friday 7th July 2023
Date: 7th Jul 2023 @ 4:10pm
Year 2 have had a creative and fun packed Art Week. The children were collectors and explorers, finding pieces of nature that they could use for their art. They had a go at doing continuous line drawings using pencils and pens in their sketch books. They also explored using touch, to draw pictures of how objects felt rather than what they looked like. In English, we started to read a bonus book, Jemima The Pig And The 127 Acorns, by Michel Morpurgo. We drew pictures of Jemima and wrote about what has happened in the story so far. In Maths, we learnt about thirds of a shape. It was the last Yoga session and the children were fantastic at listening and performing the poses. In Music, the children can perform a string of notes on their ocarinas and their singing voices are super. Year 2 also enjoyed two mornings with Mr Campbell in the junior building. They thoroughly enjoyed the activities and came back to class very happy and looking forward to Year 3 in September.
Reading
In Year 2, children should read for at least 15/20 minutes every night and talk about the book. This will help with understanding the text and learning new words.
Reading books are changed every Wednesday. You will receive 2-4 books depending on their length, they should last the week, if you read a little each night. However, if you need to change a book at any other time, we will change it as needed.

Welcome to your Friday blog.
In English, we wrote, proof read and edited our non-chronological reports. We will be publishing these and sharing them with other classes next week,
In Maths, we consolidated our area learning by counting squares in groups.
As this week has been art week, we spent a considerable amount of time experimenting with different art styles which follow rules. We made our own rules and resolutions, and then chose a style we especially liked to create our final piece. These will be framed and sold at the summer fair! You can see us experimenting here.
In French, we concentrated on phonics - the sounds are different in French. We went on a treasure hunt to find words and grouped them according to the sounds in the words. We made sure we could read them all. Then we used bilingual dictionaries to find more words with the same sounds. The children's ability to pronounce unknown words correctly is really good - I am proud to be handing them on to the next French teacher! We also managed to watch a few highlights of the Tour de France.
In PE, we played a whole class game of cricket which practised our catching and team work skills.

Reception Blog - Friday 7th July 2023
Date: 7th Jul 2023 @ 12:52pm
This week we have had a whole week doing lots of Art and DT.
In Art we have been using our imaginations to make our own collage using paint and pens. To start we had to make our own patterned paper using paint, glue and mark making equipment. Once this was dry we then tore it and cut it to make our own imaginary scene. We then added more detail to our pictures using pens, before signing it like an Artist would. These will be framed and sold at the Summer Fayre in our very own Art Gallery!
In DT we have used the story of the King's Pants. We found the story very funny. All about a King who had different pattered pants for every occasion. We all designed our own pants, choosing the colours and what we would like to stick to them. Afterwards we all got to speak about what we liked about our pants to evaluate them.
In French this week, we played some traditional French playground games. We played one called Pecheurs et poissons - Fishermen and fish - which involved half the class being the net in a big circle and the other half weaving in and out of the linked hands, being the fish. At the end of the little rhyme, the arms come down and trap some fish in the net. They then join the net until a winner is left, still not caught by the net. On s'est bien amuse!
We have also had Year 5 come and visit us this week to do an investigation on their DT project. They had to design a house for the Three Little pigs and Reception had to try and blow them down using fans, hairdryers and blowing them. Reception loved this investigation as they already knew the story.
The Reception Team would also like to say how amazing Reception did in their first ever School assembly. The children worked so hard and we are very proud of each and every one of them!
Have a lovely weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
Year 1 Blog - Friday 7th July 2023
Date: 7th Jul 2023 @ 11:07am
Welcome to your Friday blog!
We really enjoyed visiting out new classroom and meeting our new teachers. We shared our favourite books with Miss Gravili.
We are looking forward to Year 6 performing Oliver! for us next week and also Super Learning Day on Friday.
English
We have been learning through a new book this week. It's about a girl called Matilda and her dad as they go on a journey and discover all kinds of treasure. We drew and labelled what they found and we then wrote descriptions of the treasure. We took great care with our letter formation, spelling and punctuation.
Phonics
We have been revising some of the sounds we have learnt this year.
Maths
We have been learning about addition and subtraction strategies. We have been using the number facts we already know to partition number. We have been trying really hard to explain our thinking using correct mathematical vocabulary.
RE
We read a story that was all about a man called Levi. We found out that he was a tax collector who made some wrong choices. We talked about how he changed and wrote a postcard to Jesus, pretending to be Levi, saying sorry for his actions.
PSHE
Since we have spent some time in year 2, we talked about change and the transition into a new classroom. We discussed our worries and set ourselves targets for the new year.
D.T.
We used the plans we made to finish making clothes for a teddy. First, we cut the fabric. Then, we carefully sewed the pieces of fabric together. We learnt how to fasten off the sewing so it didn't come undone. We evaluated how well we achieved our plan. We showed great perseverance.
Art Week
It's Art Week for everyone in our school this week. We have produced different pieces through the week and these have culminated in a final piece which will be displayed in a gallery at the summer fair on Saturday 15th July.
Yoga
We had our final Yoga session with Katie. We have really enjoyed these sessions and learnt a lot.
Forest School and Outdoor Learning
We had another go at nail art using the hammers safely. We used what we have already learned and made more complicated designs.
Some of us made hammocks which we loved swinging in! We will make them again next week and try to improve the design.

Welcome to your Friday Blog
This week we have had a great week of learning. We have had our final yoga session with Katie and enjoyed exploring outdoor Art in our Art week. We also had two moving up mornings in Year 4. Mrs Tipping commented on how well behaved and eager Year 3 were in finding out about their new class! Well done Year 3!
Today we have sent out your end of year reports. You will find a QR code at the bottom to get access to your child's seesaw account. Just download the seesaw app, create an account and scan the code. We will keep this live until the end of the school year. Enjoy seeing a little more of what we've been learning this year.
In our class novel we have reached Little Witchery, the mysterious witch kingdom in the sky. We found out what the S.M.I was, (the Society of Magical Investigation) and Toby had a few difficult decisions to make.
In Maths we have finished our Decimals topic, and learned how to count forwards and backwards in tenths. Everyone showed great understanding with this.
In Art we met Frances Hatch and looked at her landscape pictures and how she used natural materials to create her pieces. We also made some colour palettes and visual drawings. Check out our gallery.
Have a fantastic weekend and we will see you all next week!

Welcome to this week’s Year 6 blog.
Our final week of rehearsals for Oliver consisted of perfecting the stage directions, dance routines, lights and use of props. Next Monday will be a dress rehearsal for the school, with Tuesday being the big day of performances. Year 6 are looking forward to showing you all their fanstastic production.
This week is Art week with our topic focusing on Activism. We used the artist Shepard Fairey and discussed how his art can help influence people’s thoughts and feelings towards different topics. We discussed the question, ‘What is your message to the world?’ We then used our learning from Romero Britto’s artwork and merged the two ideas together to create our final bright activism piece of art, which will be displayed at the summer fair.
In French, we used bilingual dictionaries to find words associated with the future - hope, peace, friendship, dreams etc and we turned them into graffiti. You'll see why next week. Then we enjoyed a celebration French breakfast.
In Science, we learnt the standard symbols used to draw electric circuits and we investigated how to change the brightness of a bulb or the loudness of a buzzer.

Year 5 Blog Friday 7th July 2023
Date: 6th Jul 2023 @ 8:15am
Happy Friday and welcome to your Friday Blog.
We have had a great week this week. It has been art week and in Year 5 our topic was fashion design.
First we looked at 3 different fashion designers, we thought about how they were inspired and what patterns and colours they used.
The designers we looked at were:
Alice Fox
Rahul Mishra
Pyer Moss
Next we decided on our design brief, it was to design any type of clothing with a link to China. So we looked at traditional Chinese patterns, symbols, colours and pictues. Then we practised drawing and colouring some of these designs.
For our final piece we painted some backgrounds, added patterns onto these, and then cut out our clothing from these different designs. We were so pleased with the results!
We finished our DT project on frame structures. We tested out how sturdy they were with Reception by reading them the story of The Three Little Pigs. We then asked the children in Reception to see if they could blow down our frame structures with their mouth, a hand fan, or a hairdryer! Some of our frame structures survived all 3, some didn't survive the hairdryer!
You can see us with Reception in our gallery here.
In maths we have been looking at tables and graphs to find out information and to answer questions such as how many altogther, how many more, how many less, what is the difference.
In English we have read some more of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. We wrote a formal letter to Harry from Professor McGonnagall and also described Diagon Alley using exciting words and different punctuation.
Next week we are going be finding out about some of the Fantastic Beasts.

Year 4 Blog Friday 30th June 2023
Date: 30th Jun 2023 @ 12:48pm
Welcome to your Friday blog.
On Monday, we had a visit from Ian Bland who is a children’s poet from Lancashire. Following a workshop, we all wrote a ‘Kenning’ – Kennings were first used in Anglo-Saxon and Norse poetry. We performed the Kennings to our class and some of us also performed them in the whole school assembly at the end of the day. We had a brilliant day and enjoyed both writing and performing our poetry.
In other English lessons this week, we looked in detail at different non-chronological reports and identified the features of these. We then chose our own topics and planned our own non-chronological reports using a spider diagram. We have started to write our reports and will finish these next week!
In Maths, we learnt how to convert between metres and kilometres. In addition, we learnt how to find area by counting squares in groups (making a connection between multiplication and arrays).
In RE, we completed our topic about ‘Building Bridges’ with a beautiful class collective worship led by some of the children. We also learnt about Islam and the importance of the Qur’an.
In French, we learnt how to ask for an ice cream in a shop. Then we described some aliens, remembering to put the words in the right order and make the adjectives agree with their noun.
In Science, we learnt about the structure and function of each part of the digestive system and tried to draw a life size version of our own. You can see some of us modelling our digestive systems here - there were some interesting variations!
In Art, we created a sensory picture using pencils and needles. Have a look at some of our designs!
In PE, we practised our net and wall skills during a tennis session, and our throwing and catching skills in a game of rounders. Unfortunately, we were rained off after about 45 minutes!
On Thursday afternoon, we also attended church for St Peter and Paul’s Feast Day Mass.

Year 2 Blog Friday 30th June 2023
Date: 30th Jun 2023 @ 11:46am
Year 2 have had a lovely week, the highlight was our trip to Skipton Castle. The children thoroughly enjoyed the tour around the castle and found the dungeons and long drop very interesting. They were all really well-mannered and a credit to the school. We also had a visiting poet in school (Ian Bland) who inspired the children to write some fantastic animal poems using alliteration. He did amazing performance poetry, which was incredibly entertaining. In English, we started the Magic finger by Roald Dahl. It was interesting to read about what the children would do if they had a magic finger themselves. They used exciting adjectives, paragraphs and beautifully joined handwriting. In Maths, we worked on addition and subtraction word problems, it was important to remember to circle the key bits in the question and decide if we had to add or subtract. In P.E we did racket skills and played mini-tennis games. Year 2 are really improving in Music and playing the ocarinas. In French, we practised saying ice cream flavours and played a game to reinforce the vocabulary. Then we talked about the Tour de France which starts this Saturday.
Outdoor Learning and Forest School
This week we used hammered nails into tree stumps to make a shape. We then wrapped wool around the nails to make a piece of art. We had to persevere as the wool came undone if we didn't secure it well enough. We all had our own ideas about what to make. We know how to use a hammer safely.
In our other session we made friendship bracelets. We used our knot-tying skills and made some colourful bracelets.
Reading resources:
Oxford Owl – This resource has an exciting range of carefully levelled books to help children learn to read and really enjoy it.

Maths
Next week for our last times tables quiz (Friday 07.07.23) we will be learning the division facts for the 3x table in a random order.
Count in 3’s forwards and backwards, see how quickly you can go, but it must still be accurate. Chant/sing the division facts for the x3 table. Ask an adult to quiz you on them in a random order. Try playing ‘Hit The Button’ game from the maths games listed below.
You will have a multiplication and division by 3 challenge on Sumdog to complete by Friday 07.07.23.
Here are some links to other maths games/apps the children can play to help them learn their number facts.

Year 6 Blog Friday 30th June 2023
Date: 30th Jun 2023 @ 11:44am
Welcome to this week’s Year 6 blog.
This has been a huge week of rehearsals, creating new lines, choreography and plenty of movement around the stage.
On Monday, St Oswald’s had a Poetry Day with Ian Bland, who inspired us all to be poets. Year 6 created and performed a super poem in groups, with some performing to the school.
On Tuesday, Year 6 Sports Captains led the Year 3 sports day brilliantly once again. Only one to go – Year 6’s on Monday 3rdJuly at 2:15pm.
On Thursday, Year 6 did a great job of leading St Peter and St Paul's Feast Day in church.
On Friday, the majority of Year 6 headed for a transition day at All Hallows high school. There, they met their form tutor and lots of new people from different primary schools.
Also, Year 6’s learning this week:
- In History, we continued the use of the library loan by investigating real posters from World War II and how propaganda had an effect on the people of Britain.
- In French, the children practised their cafe dialogues written last week and made some props for their cafe. They then filmed their little sketches - well done everyone!
- In science, we leant about Inheritance (scientifically speaking!) and variation. There was a lot of discussion and interesting questions. The children then drew what the offspring of Mr Men and Little Miss characters might look like. That concludes this topic on Evolution and Inheritance. We moved on to a quick recap of Electricity by making lots of different circuits.
Home Practice
Please continue with your ‘Numeracy Skills booklet’ from All Hallows.
- Work through all 20 questions as best as you can.
- Any you do not understand, we will go through them next WEDNESDAY
- This week have a go at completing the sheet 54.5
Date: 29th Jun 2023 @ 2:01pm
Welcome to your Friday Blog!
We have had a fun filled week of learning in Year 3 this week. On Monday we were visitied by the brilliant poet. Ian Bland. He taught us how to write Kennings and read us some of his hilarious poems.
In English we have really enjoyed our new story. We have met some new witches and learned a lot more about the mysterious S.M.I. We focused on descriptive writing this week and are using some great openers to our sentences.
In Maths this week we have been learning about decimals and how they are related to fractions. We have been partitioning mixed numbers and comparing our decimals.
In Art this week we have glazed our canonic jars ready for going home. They look great! Next week is Art week and our class will be using natural materials to make images.
This week we did our yoga session outside with Kate. We learned some positive affirmations and balance poses. Have a look at our gallery.
We also had a fabulous Sports Day on Tuesday. Everyone outperformed their personal bests and showed great attitudes and teamwork. Aidan came out victorious but every house was amazing.

Year 1 Blog - Friday 30th June 2023
Date: 29th Jun 2023 @ 10:16am
Welcome to your Friday blog, the final one for June!
We are looking forward to visiting Year 2 next week.
English
We started our week in a very special way. We had a visitor in school all day. He is called Ian Bland and he's a poet. He performed some of his poems for us all in a whole school assembly. We then had a workshop with him and we all came back together at the end of the day to perform the poems we had written. Mr Bland had such amazing energy and we all laughed so much. We learnt a lot too!
Click here to go to his website.
We read some more stories about Mr and Mrs Grinling and Hamish, their cat. As we were so inspired by Mr Bland we wrote our own call and response poem called, "Hamish is a Cat". We performed them to each other.
We also planned and wrote our own story-we had really imaginative ideas about what might happen!
Phonics
Some of us have been learning about split sounds, o-e as in stone, a-e in cake, e-e in concrete, u-e as in cube and rude, i-e as in pike. Some of us have been learning about s in treasure and si in vision.
Maths
We have been learning about partitioning numbers in order to solve addition number sentence questions. We know that the number 12 is made up of one ten and two ones and used this knowledge to solve problems, for example 12 + 5 = ?
R.E.
We started a new topic - 'being sorry'. We talked about what it means to be sorry and why we should be sorry if we made a wrong choice. We then drew a picture of a time that we have been sorry.
Computing
We learnt how to use two new blocks - draw and jump. We had a lot of freeplay levels this week, which allowed us to draw whatever we liked using coded instructions. It was so much fun!
Science
We started learning about the weather. We focused on the UK and how we have different types of weather depending on the season we are in. We also touched upon climate change and how our weather is drastically changing! We then drew pictures of the typical weather that we see in each season, for example we associate winter with snow.
Geography
We read the story 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers and talked about how the penguin lives in a cold climate. We discussed the term 'climate' and how we have hot, cold and warm climates in the world. We then coloured these in on a world map.
We also discussed the difference between 'weather' and 'climate' as our learning linked perfectly to our science lesson!
P.S.H.E.
This week, we learnt about the word 'responsibility'. We watched a clip from Rugrats where Angelica mentions that she has more "sponsibilities" now that she is older. We talked about our responsibilities in school and at home and how they change as we grow up.
French
We practised saying ice cream flavours and played a game to reinforce the vocabulary.
